A Better Way has provided experienced, caring support to survivors of child abuse in court in multiple states over the last few years. Normally, advocates travel on their own funds.
However, victims of abuse in a plain community have asked us to provide support at a trial in the far North of Canada. Because of the distance involved, and because of the expected length of the trial due to the many victims and the serious charges, advocates need help with the funding to be able to provide support. Airfare, car rental, lodging and food add up quickly with an expected 10 to 11 days required. Advocates are willing to donate their time and energy for this, but need help with their actual expenses.
In a courtroom that is expected to be packed with supporters for the defendant, and very little support for the survivors, your tax deductible donations to A Better Way can make a real difference for the survivors to be able to feel seen, heard and valued!
A generous donor has offered to match, dollar for dollar, all donations up to $1,000 received in the first 48 hours of this campaign! So your $5, $10 or more will be DOUBLED–up to $1,000.
Additionally, if you donate $150 or more, Justin Woodbury, the author of Sheltered But Not Protected, will send you a copy of his book.
Thank you for caring for these survivors of childhood abuse!
